THE PLAYERS Championship will return to TPC Sawgrass, March 6-12, 2023. The website is now open for media credential applications. You may apply for accreditation through our media website: https://mediacredentials.pgatourhq.com. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 24. Media outlets should submit a single application for all staff requesting credentials. During step two of the application process, you must select the dates attending for each staff member. Digital parking passes for one of the assigned media lots will be sent only for the days approved to be onsite. There are a significant number of hotels throughout Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Augustine; however, the properties closest to TPC Sawgrass reach capacity quickly so it is recommended you make reservations at your earliest convenience. As our communications team looked for opportunities to enhance the media experience, we opted to eliminate the multi-tier credential system that was in place the past several years and move to a credential that will provide more consistent access to all media. Media approved to cover THE PLAYERS Championship will now have access to the media center workroom, dining facility, flash area and throughout the competition grounds. While we are excited to announce this change, due to space limitations it is possible that we will reach capacity prior to the application deadline so please apply at your earliest convenience. Those who have a PGA TOUR-issued season-long credential should plan to use it to access the tournament. Once credential requests are processed closer to the tournament, an email will be sent with the status and a list of approved resources. Media outlets onsite for the majority of the week and filing on a daily deadline will be given priority to reserve workspace. Media outlets that publish less frequently or have staff in attendance for only one or two days will have access to “flexible seating” available in the media center workroom on a first come, first serve basis. Credentials can be collected from the media center at TPC Sawgrass beginning on Monday, March 6, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Special arrangements for local media to pick up credentials in advance of the tournament will be communicated separately. Please note that all inside-the-ropes access will be handled by PGA TOUR Communications staff members in the media center during tournament week. Accreditation approval does not guarantee inside-the-ropes access.
