Sunday, March 6: Operation Shower (12 to 1:30 p.m.)
THE PLAYERS will once again partner with Operation Shower to host a baby shower for 40 military moms-to-be whose spouses are deployed members of the Armed Forces. The shower will return to an in-person format in 2022 inside the Patriots’ Outpost presented by Optum, Morgan Stanley and Grant Thornton, an open-air hospitality venue located near the 16th hole for military members, veterans and a dependent to enjoy during tournament week.
During the “How Sweet It Is”-themed shower, the moms will enjoy lunch, guest speakers, raffles, games, and other fun activities in an exquisitely-decorated setting. The moms will also be showered with gifts, including Operation Shower’s signature Showers In A Box. Each mom will receive an array of unique, high-quality products and gift items for mothers and babies from companies including Chicco, the Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation, OptumServe, Morgan Stanley and Cox Media Group. Lunch will also be provided by Firehouse Subs.
LaShanda Cobbs, CEO, Preparedness and Emergency Response OptumServe/UnitedHealth Group, will also provide remarks at the shower.
